ABOUT ME

Born and raised in the South, Mark Berry is a writer based in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. His stories, steeped in the Southern gothic tradition, explore the identity and tensions of a region coming to terms with its history and resistance to change. He has worked in publishing, strategic communications and marketing for nearly three decades, having won numerous editorial and writing awards for his magazine work. He lives in Charleston with his family.
